2018 MX Tour Pre-Season Update

Friday May 25, 2018

The dust has settled from the 2018 AX Tour championship battles and now the stage is set for the 2018 MX Tour Championships.  After months of preparation and grueling training regimes, it’s time for all the hard work to be put to the test at Round 1 of the outdoor motocross Nationals in Calgary, Alberta.

2018 MX Tour Pre-Season Update

Dylan Wright #12:

Starting his second season with the GDR/Honda Canada/Fox Racing team, Dylan Wright is more focused than ever before.  His 2017 season didn’t start out the way the team had hoped and the mistakes forced Wright to dig deep and redeem his results in the second half of the season.  Dylan would finish last season in a very respectable 2nd place overall, but the goal this season is to stand on top in the #1 position.

“I feel like I learned a lot from the struggles of last year and it made me work harder to finish the series up front so I’m really looking forward to a fresh start this year and taking the next step to the top.”Dylan Wright, 250cc Title Contender

Colton Facciotti #45:

Veteran racer and long time GDR team rider, Colton Facciotti is coming into the 2018 season all business as usual.  Finishing last season’s MX Nationals in 3rd place overall, followed by a 2nd place overall in the 2018 AX Tour Championship, look for Facciotti to carry this momentum into the MX Tour and be a race win contender each and every weekend until the Champion is crowned.

“it’s always a long series, but it’s even longer now that we have a Triple Crown title.  I’ve been doing this for a lot of years now, so I know what I need to do to stay in contention all year long to bring home that Triple Crown Title.”Colton Facciotti, 450cc Title Contender

Rockstar Triple Crown Title:

As the MX Tour kicks off this weekend, it also marks the start of the second Triple Crown series points chase.  Riders are competing in all three championships (AX Tour, MX Tour, SX Tour) for a $100k triple crown title that will be awarded at the end of all three series to the rider with the most accumulated points.  Facciotti currently sits in 2nd place for the Triple Crown title heading into the MX Tour.
